Oct. 29, 2005 - From Jakarta to Bali
In Jakarta we had to say goodbye to Danny Khor. Flying along the
Indonesian Islands was mostly flying along volcanos. There was
a lot of rain-forest humidity in the air and the the clouds increased
during the day. Over the island of Jawa thunderstorms developed
during the afternoon. Over the smaller islands thunderstorms where
more seldom. Here you can see two volcanos close to Surabaya nicely
aligned.

Approaching Denpasar airport made us sing. It could also be the
lacking of oxygen. Soon thereafter singing was over when we saw
the first of a series of kites at 2500 ft above ground. We were
intensively looking out for these buggers as they where on out
way to Denpasar. We were lucky not to hit any of these constructions
as they were rather big.
