Bagan to Chiang Mai

Just after take off. Bagan is glowing in gold and terracotta colors.
In the afternoon before, a heavy thunderstorm was washing off
the dust. During that tempest we had some worries about weather
the next days. But in the morning all worries were gone and the
flight to Chiang Mai could take place.

Everybody in Myanmar was very friendly. The hotel was very nice.
The food was excellent. Our tour guide rather lazy and way to
expensive. The handling at the airport impeccable. So we took
a chance to ask for a sightseeing tour over the Bagan site. It
was instantly granted. We made a beautiful turn over the Pagodas.

When we landed in Chiang Mai it was like returning to a known
place. Stephan was very happy as his mobile would work again and
there was WIFI in the hotel. We took a 2 hour tour around town.
The impression Chiang Mai left in us was a very positive one.
